What do you do to survive?

The American Hustle — Fake accents, permed hair and lies

If you’ve watched the film The American Hustle, you’ll understand the question.

If not, the question is directed at how people live their life. What they do either to make a living or make a life.

What are you prepared to do to survive? Or, what have you been doing to survive?

If what you’re doing is wrong, how do you explain to yourself it’s ok?

If you’re a dad, you understand the sacrifices needed to make life better.

If you’re a husband, the same goes.

Have you thought about survival being linked to unnecessary pressure on yourself?

This is how I find myself in survival mode the most. I feel like I should be doing better in life or relationships.

I feel like I should be CRUSHING right?

But I’m not.

I’m stalled.

I’m doing good but not as fast as the pace I’d like to see.

The pressure is created by myself.

Is it helpful, sometimes.

Is it hurtful, sometimes.

Is there a balance?

I hope so, but haven’t figured it out.

The core of the question lies in the honesty level with yourself.

Are you cutting corners?

Fudging numbers?

Using words instead of action?

In the end, you’re afraid, I’m afraid.

We want our life to matter.

And many times it’s just not adding up.

Cheers
