Questions: Have you written down WHAT you fear and WHY you fear it?

I’ve asked other people what I thought were good questions. Obviously with the hope of walking down the path of ‘successful’

However, if I can’t define success in my own life, how can I be successful?

Duh right?

This question is asked by Tim Ferris of nearly all his podcast guests. We hear the question for someone else, but what about you? What about me?

Since we are on the subject of success, I suppose I should try and define success. I haven’t put much thought of it till now.

I reckon maybe this is step 1 on the road of success.

Success to me is having a thankful heart to God. Why? Because, out of the abundance of my heart my mouth will speak. And, the Bible says to guard your heart for out of it flows the well of life.

So there, maybe you have a go?

This next question was my original question until we walked down the success path.

So, here we go.

I’ll go first and then you give it a go.

What are you afraid of?

  • I’m afraid of not reaching my full potential (whatever that means)
  • I’m afraid of not providing enough for my bride and kids.
  • I’m afraid of being average or getting sucked into the vortex of meaningless, mind numbing behavior.
  • I’m afraid of having to scratch through life with ‘just enough’
  • I’m afraid of giving my input and being rejected or the feeling of not being heard, being shushed.
  • I’m afraid of people because for most of the time, I don’t think they actually care what I think. Therefore, I’m afraid of being a nuisance or bother.

So there it goes. You’re basically reading my journal. Hope it helps you write your own.
