Mike Lindell — from crackhead to millionaire, The MyPillow story

I ALMOST WANT TO BUY A MYPILLOW AFTER HEARING THIS DUDES STORY — CRAZY

‘And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. ‘ Ezekiel 36:26

The other night my wife and I were watching a show when an ad from the “MyPillow Guy” came on. I tuned out at first — but then he mentioned something about “his faith.” At the time, we were watching CNN — so my ears REALLY perked up.

I don’t know Mike Lindell’s full story — but the ad was about his new book. The Washington Post wrote an article about his book and titled it, “From Crack Cocaine to Mar-a-lago: The Unusual Journey of the MyPillow man.” The next article I read was from CNBC; it was titled, “How this entrepreneur went from a crack addict to a self-made multimillionaire.”

These are some crazy headlines.

One of the key phrases that stuck out to me when I read about Mike was that his idea for MyPillow came to him “in a dream.” He said he woke up at 2am, went downstairs and saw the word “MyPillow” all over his house. He threw all of his efforts into creating this pillow.

When was the last time you asked for a business idea dream? That’s a whole ‘nother story — but think about it.

His story is nuts as he shares how he failed at so many businesses. Whether it was carpet cleaning, learning to count cards in Vegas, raising pigs or a lunch wagon business — they all FAILED.

Even when he first started MyPillow, sales were slow. Like bad slow.

If there was a story that connected so well to this verse in Ezekiel — it’s this guy. I can’t even believe the story as I learned more and more about Mike.

Here’s a bit of his story to show you the true force of prayer and miracles. I mean, who would believe that someone so addicted to crack could come out of it alive and with a successful business. It seems too f’d up for me. But check this out.

On Jan. 16, 2009, “I had one prayer that night,” he said. “God, I want to wake up in the morning and never have the desire again.”

Lindell was convinced that God had bigger plans for him, because his business was starting to do well. “I woke up the next day — and you’ve got to realize this is years of crack addiction — I go, ‘Wow, something’s different.’”

I remember in my own life praying a very similar prayer. It didn’t happen as fast — but the desire began to subside. The urges were less and when I did mess up — my conscious was alerted.

Previously, if I had f’d up — I would just go about my day and do it again later that night. This time, my conscious was different and I wanted that. I had prayed for that. It was a BIG TIME answer to prayer.

I’m sure you’ve heard similar stories and maybe you think “it’s just not for me.” My hope is for you to know that anything is possible. Everything is available and no one is too far or too f’d up.

I mean, let’s be honest — if Darth Vader and Kylo Ren can turn— anything is possible.
