GOD IS ABLE
‘Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.’ Ephesians 3:20
What does your mind say to you when you read the phrase, “Our God is able?” Just this morning when I read this, the first thought that crashed into my mind was, “what if God is NOT able?” Another thought that jumped into the window of my mind was, “is this verse meant for me?”
When I read the Bible, it seems I get as much doubt as I get faith? I dunno about you, but that’s just what it seems like. I look for faith, hope, courage and energy from the scriptures but in the same moment, I’m faced with so many self doubts. Maybe that’s why I tatooed on my chest, “never doubt yourself.” Ha!
What I do know is, when I meditate on God’s Word, my day is better and yes, I do have more courage, faith, hope and energy.
So, how do you battle the doubts when the scriptures are trying to give you hope? For me, it’s like anything. It’s repetition. It’s consistency. It’s faith that God is for me. God does love me. These scriptures are for me. Yes, even for me.
Ah, deep breathe before I get into my day.
Even now, I’m practicing smiling. I literally am seeing what the day is and what it can become. I am grateful for the life I have. I am thankful for the goodness of God. I’m hopeful for his promises to continue to manifest. My day will be great because I choose for it to be. No one can take away my joy and happiness. Those are reserved for me and should be reserved for you as well.
This is my positive self talk and how I use my words as a weapon. Each and every word is a skilled tool to create your world. If God used his words to create this planet, why not do the same to shape our day.
So, let’s get into it. Let’s be creative. Let’s call on the name of the Lord in every situation. Let’s let God do “God-type” things today. Let’s welcome him into our day, our thoughts, our dreams.
Yes, our God is truly able.
